Performance and quality. That's what we've built our reputation
on since 1953. A punishing research and development program,
using the best athletes in the world, the use of the finest,
most technologically advanced materials and a commitment to
designing and building the best equipment available has helped
produce the Sinisalo Snow Line.
The
Sinisalo 2005-06 cross-country ski collection has
gloves for all weather conditions, from mild and rainy days to
the cold and windy. Sinisalo offers an extensive line of
functional gloves ranging from a light yet warm and windproof
high performance glove to well insulated warm sports and

A
Glove For Every Condition
Sinisalo
is well known as the world's number one racing glove
manufacturer for motorcycling and cross country skiing. Their
know-how and experience in these sports has come into play in
their development of warm comfortable gloves for recreational
skiers as well.
|
|
If you are a "serious" x-c skier
you need to accept the fact that one pair of gloves will not
work equally well in all conditions. Therefore every skier
should “know his fingers” and evaluate their activity level. If
you ski for fitness, you should have at least two pairs of
gloves, one pair of thin gloves and another thicker. If you have
"cold fingers" and you ski a few times a winter just for
pleasure, then pick the thicker, warmer gloves; for instance the
Super XC or
Arctic.

Sinisalo
uses the best materials available for cross-country skiing:

Clarino
ü
Neoprene
ü
Lycra
ü
Thinsulate
ü
Estar
ü
Reissa
ü
3M
Windstopper. |
|
Multipurpose Use
Due to the
materials like Clarino Sinisalo gloves are widely used for
driving, bicycling, pole walking and snowshoeing; not just cross
country skiing. Clarino grips even better when
wet. It also dries much faster than leather.
|
Washability – SINISALO GLOVES ARE MACHINE WASHABLE!
As we know
cross country skiing is a vigorous activity. The hands perspire,
especially between the fingers and the palm. After a day's
skiing, your cross-country ski gloves are like running socks;
THEY NEED
WASHING!
ü
Washing
reactivates the insulative value of the gloves by cleaning and
"buffing up" the insulation material.
ü
Washing
also extend the life of your ski gloves.
o
The
chemicals used in ski waxes and wax removers stick to the seams
and may hurt the materials and stitching.
ü
Each
Sinisalo model has specific washing instructions.
|
|
Fit
Due to
computerized cutting of patterns, all gloves of a given size are
completely identical. Due to the materials used, Sinisalo gloves
will not shrink and if washed properly (follow the
manufacturers instructions), will retain their original fit
indefinitely.
The palm
of the high performance racing gloves is cut shorter than the
back of the glove. When fitting the gloves, let your fingers
bend normally and press down between your thumb and forefinger.
The position of the thumb is essential. The thumb in
Sinisalo gloves is positioned and designed for maximum
grip and ease of release of the ski pole leading to more relaxed
skiing and pole walking.
|
|
Stitching
Some of
the Sinisalo gloves have outside stitching for
superior fit and eliminating the risk of blisters. (Racing
Thermo, Narrow Fit, Super Thermo and Super XC).
